poetry & short story author – artist & nature lover
stars cover my eyes
blinking, energy flowing within, without
the watchers, in their way, mark the passage
of memory, I reach
hands lifted. eyes follow
spreading my mind wide, far-flung
these words, reveal cracks
from above, you see how far they go
deep and filling the expanse
ideas! art! creation! love and hope!
intermingled with your touch
I stretch, draw forth
these words are a mere pittance
skeletal, the framework
it’s what’s underneath that means anything
echoes of thought, of heart
a yearning to be seen, understood
no longer solitary
yes, the bright ones above bear witness
yet they see and don’t understand
so these words, magnetized
attract lonely others
proof we aren’t so very isolated
after all

Therein lives the urge to write, to send self outward to touch where spoken word doesn’t reach.

I really like the positivity of this, Tara – when we feel that we are used up somehow, from some mysterious place, the words seep into us. Great piece.

Thanks Chris. We’ve talked often of how even though many of us in internet-land are far away physically, we can still bond on an emotional level. I think that’s pretty cool. That Words can do that.

In a previous life such things would have, perhaps, been unimaginable. 🙂

i love the cracks – to me they illustrate breadth but moreso depth, of something past what otherwise might be a boundary or a limit, something more … there is always something more, afterall.

Yes, depth. Exactly.
