Small Moments

It’s in those quiet moments when you wrap your arms around me from behind and pull me in closer as if that were possible or when you lay kisses on my eyelids and breathe in deep our lingering scent, memorizing every nuance.

It’s when you hold me so tight like you never want to let me go or hold my face and stare into my eyes and stare into my eyes and stare into my eyes until we’ve lived a thousand lifetimes in that moment, lovers inexorably entwined.

It’s the small moments that begin our forever, that shape us together, that unite us for always, that tell me you love me too.
