Just Another Tool

I’m just
Another tool in your tool belt
Pull me out when you
Need me
Walk away when you’re

You bastard

I don’t want to be
Your useful tool
Your stepping stone
Your plaything
Your side-fling
Your feel-good
Your second choice
Your ego-stroke
Your loyal dog

I want someone
Who loves me
I want someone
Who wants me
I want to be
The Prize

(I’m so tired of crying)

  1. I got a sense of helplessness from this, with a pinch of anger.
We can control ourselves, but controlling others is not possible most of the time. Keep that in mind.
Hopefully, it means you will run out of your tear resources sooner and then be done for the rest of the year.
