I Burn

twisted sheets around my ankles
sweat-slick skin
nails raked along my curves
I shiver
your breath in puffs create goose flesh
inhale my scent
my back arches
I tremble
this anticipation pulls me
all sensation
carried away far from here
I invoke your name
every touch a spark
trails of fire and desire
less is more but I want more
I burn
and melt away

  1. Very sensual Tara. It’s amazing how you can shift from writing a surreal science fiction piece one day to a beautiful lyrical poem the next, before writing something like this. You don’t change your style of writing when doing so too. You’re very talented!
