Microcosm

The longer I looked the more I saw
Bits of grey dotted with green
Green pushed to pink
Pink with yellow centers
Beetles skittering, flies bumbling
Pollen transfers
Little bits of dirt settling here, there
A seed dropped, fell to its side
Mouse whiskers then a sleek body
Tiptoeing a paw flips a leaf over
Brushing past a ripe mushroom
Spores release
Float and dance across the still air
Then a breath, a breeze whispers
Dispersal, new life awaiting

    1. Thank you Mark! (hehe! It looks like I was reading your latest piece while you were reading mine.) I’m so glad you liked this. It’s a little piece of magic, indeed.
