oh that I could simply
lift off this deep love I
hold for you
this love
which blows over me
twists and turns me
over and around
‘til I’ve lost my way
except the way to you
oh that I could
shake off this
silky cocoon
fill these wings with oxygen and
leap to my life
(my death?)
for yes
I had come to new life
within you and now
I’m famished and searching
but the only colors I see
far off in the distance
are your own pollen dusted petals
just out of my reach
love and life
don’t fit
so perfectly together

        1. How did you know I have that playing on my jams right now? You sly fox… you been looking on my phone again? I told you if you want pics, just ask! You don’t have to steal my phone for that! LOL 😉

  1. I love this and the feeling behind it. You’re right, life and love don’t always fit perfectly together. But, I do enjoy how you expressed wanting to shed everything except for the way to that special someone.

  2. While I was chatting with you last night at Jo’s I had the jumbo bumble bee 🐝 in the flowers on the porch. I could actually hear him slurping that wet and delicious into his…“whatever”. It’s a yummy time of year to bee. But that always works for me too..
