Cover me in your blanket of stars
Allow your light to kiss my cheeks
Surround me by your dark embrace
Cradle your palm beneath my chin
Absorb my shuddering pale knees
Bleach out my bare brittle bones
Scour away my self-taught lies
Infuse my heart with redeeming faith

Well thank you so much. I was half-asleep when I wrote it. Wasn’t sure how it would turn out when I woke up lol.

Thanks Keith. Just a little something I was thinking in the middle of the night.

I could comment again, but I don’t want to overwhelm you. It was nice, OK, and I still mean what I said before.

You know you got it when you can write a kick ass poem half asleep.

Hahaha! If you knew how much I write like that…. I don’t know. There have been times I’ve woken up and read something I posted while not fully awake 😳 A few have been removed LOL I swear… I should lock my phone at night 🙄 But thanks for the nice compliment.

I absolutely adore this, Tara. There is something to be said about being rebuilt, or reconstructed, into something new. Beautifully done.

Thanks Tom! I really appreciate that. One day I wanted to see if I could write a poem in the style of one of my very favorite poets, Braeden Michaels. It was HARD!! But I like how it turned out in the end.
