To these thoughts
To this way of thinking
By my own inhibitions
By old memories
By endless repetitions
By countless lies
By longing and desire

Yet he cupped my chin
In his gentle palm
Spoke softly:
Your bonds are broken
Come and step free

Oh how I wish I could believe him
Release me from the chains
That are me
