Come Near

Come near, my Love
Lay here in my arms
Let me hold you close
Stroke your face
Breathe you in
Absorb all that you are

Come near, my Love
I long to feel you
To stay in your embrace
Our bodies entwined
Full of passion
Made whole one within the other

Come near, my Love
I need you
To gaze into your lovely eyes
Your skin intoxicating
Your arms about me
Complete, happy once again

  1. I think I’d rather be intoxicated than just down and dirty drunk, but there is not the same poetry in that, is there?
