Hot and Cold

Sometimes I don’t understand Us

There are times when you are hot
And then you’re cold
I’ll hear from you every day
And then a week passes
You’ll respond to my art with enthusiasm
And then nothing
You push me to be more than I am
And then you get frustrated into silence
Your compliments make my heart soar
And then it’s similar words to someone else

Perhaps it’s my insecurity
Perhaps there’s nothing where I see something
Perhaps you’re just a nice guy
Perhaps I’m reading too much into things
Perhaps you have issues of your own

But we DO share a connection
And if you don’t care
Why say anything to me at all

Yep, sometimes I just don’t understand Us
